Sensei Pete and Andy Payne travelled to Scotland to participate in the 4th European Seniors and Veterans Karate Championships 30th May – 03rd June 2012. Both entered the Veterans Goju Kata Event; however due to a low number of entries both categories was cancelled and the entrants moved to the Open Kata Events.
Buy Kicks | May 24, 2021 Release Date - IetpAndy competed in the Veterans C Open Kata - Male - All Belts – 46 to 50 years – Andy performed Seinchin and was only 0.1 short of qualifying for the finals of this event.
Sensei Pete competed in the Veterans B Open Kata - Male - All Belts - 41 to 45 years, Pete performed Sepai and was placed 3rd going into the final then performed Suparinpei which won a Silver Medal.
The event was organised by the World Union of Karate-Do Federations (WUKF). 29 Countries took part in this prestigious event over 3 days.
